  First Born Syndrom? -

  is it just me or does it seem like a large portion of first born children leave the "truth" or find ttatt?

  its weird for me, but of all the other people out i know (only about 20 ish) they are all first borns, and usually the wife is as well.

  just looking at this from a different lens and curious if others see the same.

  Immediately I am thinking of a dozen exjws who had siblings older that left first. I don't know if it is a phenomenon or just a byproduct of statistics. 66% of JW youth leave the religion.

  How do I handle this situation?

  hey everyone.

  i'm sorry that this isn't a very thought provoking post but i could really use some advice on how to handle this.

  there isn't anyone else in my life i can ask right now because, being dfed, all of my friends are "worldly" and don't know how witnesses function.

  elders wife swapping question

  i hear of these stories of elders swapping wives, i remember when i was young hearing of three elders in florida doing this and getting dfed.

  my question is this how is it possible to bring this up in conversation?

  it seems impossible, how can there be multi elders that know each other willing and the wives?

  It was rampant 6 years ago in congregations on the west coast. Several elders in one congregation less than a year apart divorced and remarried. To non-JWs. A handful of others did the swapping game within their immediate or nearby congos, but then reconciled with slaps on the wrist only. It is why I am a firm believer that everyone should have at least 5 serious sexual relationships before committing to marriage. Yes sex really is just that important.

  but the two faiths are a lot alike, except the mormons are really so much nicer than the jws!.

  I live 100 feet from a tabernacle and 75% of my neighbors are members of the CoLDS. Some of them are really nice and some are not. It is exactly the same ratio I found in congregations of JWs. What I can assure you is that the second you engage any of them in a deep discussion about the failings of their theology, they all turn into ogres. And they love the word "apostate" too and misuse it like their brethren in the kingdom halls.
